Want to do a bit of art this weekend? Then, don't hold back. And ... mix different mediums. Not too long ago I started a watercolor painting only to end up combining it with an excessive amount - because why not have some fun! - of oil paints! I just let my hand glide over the canvas and ended up with a vibrant painting that now brightens up my home. Give it a try!

I always loved the delicacy of lace in fashion design. However, good quality lace can get pricey so I don't have that many items in my closet. My love for it is strong so I came up with a way to incorporate it in my outfits anyway ... By taking an old piece of lace and spray painting it! I turned the artwork into a digital file and came up with a pattern that celebrates laces in its intricacy and adds a wonderful touch of color into anything I wear. Test it out! You will love the variety of patterns you will create.
I love my mom. I live nowhere close to her but we are in touch daily and I think of her impact on my life all the time. My mom loves flowers. For this Mother's Day, though, I will send her one of my floral infinity scarves. This way she will know how much I appreciate her and at the same time she will get to keep her "flowers" forever. Gift giving can be tricky but here is a simple solution. Give your mom a handmade scarf that will easily fit into her existing wardrobe and that will brighten up her day. She will feel like she is spending it in a garden overflowing with blooms.
But there is more to choose from: take a look below at two infinity scarf collections inspired by flowers. First, I designed a collection called Nature's Colors. I push myself to combine colors I would not pair otherwise and in this collection I did just that. I snapped photos of flowers in my grandmother's garden and then used colors from these photos to design watercolor-based fabrics that celebrate nature's creativity. Second, you can pick a scarf from my Rain in the Garden collection. These fabrics are based on photos I captured at a local public garden. It was a rainy afternoon and each rain drop glistened on blooms and leaves. I turned this magic into a collection in vibrant colors. Now, isn't gift giving easy? I believe so. As long as you give love and quality time with a touch of joy, you are all set. Would your mom love one of these? Click on the image to be taken to the shop and I will get the unique scarf in the mail. Want to see more? Hop over to the store and explore. Enjoy!
