Spring weather can be confusing. It's chilly in the morning. It gets hot in the afternoon. It gets cool again in the evening. And then, there are storms and temperatures dropping quickly. What to wear during this time of year? A maxi dress! A maxi dress provides coverage for the chillier mornings and evening - throw on a light jacket and you are all set - and it is still light and airy for the warm afternoons. And it is perfect for so many occasions! Need a business casual option for work? It works! Need an evening party option? It works! As you can see, I am a fan of the maxi dress. So, let's take a look at one I made not too long ago ... Since this dress has a bold flowery pattern, I opted for a straighter and boxier silhouette as to let the pattern stand out but the amount of fabric not to overwhelm me visually when I am wearing the dress. The dress has no zipper; it is a pull-over - so quick to put on! To allow for comfort while walking I inserted two splits on the sides along the calves. Sometimes, I add a belt but the dress can easily be worn without it. So, no matter what the weather is like outside, this dress allows me to be ready for all kinds of occasions.
