My newest paintings, Healing Garden #114 and Healing Garden #115, were inspired by the gardens of two dear fellow artists and friends, Pritha and Jen. Creativity doesn't exist in isolation: it grows through the people who encourage us and are with us along the way.
Pritha, Jen, and I have shared conversations about life and art practice, hikes, museum visits, art adventures, and coffee dates. Creating these two paintings felt like bringing many parts of my life together. My art practice has always been rooted in finding beauty in nature, but it is also sustained by the kindness of the people around me.

Healing Garden #114 and #115 are a celebration of that idea. They are paintings of flowers, certainly, but they are also portraits of connection and gratitude. I hope these paintings encourage you to notice the gardens in your own life—both the ones growing outside your window and the friendships that continue to bloom year after year.
