I am fascinated by the French artist Henri Matisse and his paper cutouts. This scarf’s pattern is based on a few cutouts of mine. I like to think of the textile as a pointed reminder of “cutting out” of life what no longer fits so there is space for the new. Matisse’s artworks are indeed all about testing of new ideas and quest to discover something new. Enjoy!
