Public Art Classes at OASIS in June 2025

Painting with Light, Inspired by Berthe Morisot: Curious about watercolor? Join art educator Martina Sestakova for a fun workshop where you'll create a vibrant watercolor interpretation of a painting by French artist Berthe Morisot. You'll learn the fundamentals of watercolor painting and craft your own unique composition. No prior experience required—everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level. All materials will be provided.

Bold & Flowing, Inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe: Curious about watercolor? Join art educator Martina Sestakova for a fun workshop where you'll create a vibrant watercolor interpretation of a painting by American artist Georgia O’Keeffe. You'll learn the fundamentals of watercolor painting and craft your own unique composition. No prior experience required—everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level. All materials will be provided.
Private Group Workshops
Contact me about my no-experience-needed group classes in private settings in the DMV area or on Zoom. Let me introduce your group to fun artistic techniques and support your curiosity and spirit. It's all about relaxation into the colorful world of creativity. Laugh and enjoy your group's energy in a supportive environment.

What to expect in an in-person workshop?
  • Private instruction in a topic of your choice
  • A 2-hour session (1.5 hours of playtime and 0.5 hour of setup/cleanup)
  • Art supplies 
  • Up to 12 participants
  • No previous experience needed
  • Fee: $175 plus $20 materials fee
  • Location: up to 6 people in my studio in Kensington, MD, or up to 12 people at a location of your choice within a 30-minute radius from Kensington, MD (with a $10 commute fee)

What to expect in a Zoom workshop?
  • Private instruction in a topic of your choice
  • A 1.5-hour session 
  • Unlimited group size
  • No previous experience needed 
  • ​Fee: $165
