Such a fun day today filled with two art classes. In the morning, I taught a workshop at VisArts called "Abstract Watercolor: Sisterhood & Community" and in the afternoon I taught a class at Kensington Park Retirement Living. Scroll through to see what a lovely experience everybody had. At VisArts in Rockville, I had a nice group of people eager to explore collage through the concepts of community capturing important relationship in their lives. Here is what one of my students said about the class, "I enjoyed the class. Martina was engaging, helped when needed, and encouraged us to put our words and thoughts on paper through watercolor. I would definitely take another of her classes."
In the afternoon, we used watercolor to create a colorful still life inspired by a painting by Paul Cezanne. Delightful mixing of colors, shapes, and textures. Each attendee ended up with a completely unique interpretation of the inspiration. Already looking forward to the next workshop!
