A kind invitation to showcase my art at Sid Edelmann's Little Gallery on Fessenden has led to good - a colorful - things! Please stop by 4400 Fessenden St in Washington, DC, between November 5 and 26 to enjoy a collection of original artworks.
Abstract Art Inspired by Mary Oliver’s Poetry: Martina Sestakova is a Kensington artist who is fascinated by words and their powerful imagery. For this exhibition, Martina enjoyed Mary Oliver’s poem – Wild Geese – as inspiration for her visual explorations in acrylic inks on Yupo. Each artwork is a meditation of the perceived meaning of the title (a word taken out of the poem). Feel free to Google the poem for the overall message and then imagine how you would capture each selected word.
