What a fun journey for my student in “From Photograph to Abstract Watercolor” art workshop at VisArts in Rockville, MD. We chatted about inspiration and letting go and exploration and turned a blank canvas into a wonderful piece of art overflowing with colors and energy (painting is to be completed later so stay tuned!). Next class is on February 19; check online for details and to register.
Feedback from my student ... "I took the class because I had taken one before from Martina. She always comes up with a unique perspective to the projects. I am an artist and am completely challenged in her classes to explore something new. But, what I most enjoyed was the instructor's ability to calmly guide the direction. She was encouraging and influencing. But, she did not force her process. Just a very peaceful and calming experience for something I consider out of my comfort zone as and artist- abstraction!"
