"Several weeks ago I rushed in to the Davis library in Bethesda to return a book. Fortunately I looked to my right and noticed Martina’s delightful display of scarves – all with a story to tell. I was particularly drawn to the “Ceiling” design since it is inspired by the ceiling of the courtyard at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC. I used to work right across the street from the museum and frequently walked over and had lunch in their courtyard. I must confess, I never looked up. The scarf resonated with me because it incorporates my story as well as Martina’s. I also have a lot of black and white items in my wardrobe, so it will blend perfectly with those as well as my more colorful items. I know I will be wearing and enjoying this wonderfully creative piece of art for my neck on many occasions. Thank you, Martina." ~Mary (Maryland, USA) |
