I love the poems of Mary Oliver. I read them over and over and I take lines or words out of them and let them be my inspiration for abstract watercolors on yupo. The piece on the left is called "In the Dust, In the Flowerbeds" and the one on the right is "And the Tree is a Sister to Me." I had so much fun creating these studies and am so happy they found a new home.
