Working with individuals in retirement communities is my passion. I have designed a watercolor painting course, during which we explore a variety of techniques and topics. We chat and laugh. You know what? It seems to me that often I learn more from my students than they may from me ... You should hear the stories. The amazing life stories! I cherish their sharing with me about their families, travels, lows and highs. Just yesterday, during my last class of 2018, I discovered so many new things about my students. I mean - learning never ends, right? I got to work with people from different backgrounds, of different mental and physical capabilities, and have learned to adjust my classes to my students with stroke and Parkinson's. It's been an incredible journey. Words cannot capture my gratitude. I can't wait to see what 2019 will bring!
