My private art student is such an open mind! Every time she comes to my studio, she does not know what we will work on that day. Her classes are a surprise. Today we collaged, painted, and created a flower painting. All in a funny order though ... First, we tore floral shapes out of blank watercolor paper. My student chose to do an iris bloom. Then we glued the pieces onto our board and finally we painted all of the parts in watercolors. A bit of a reverse thinking: it's an interesting process to start an art pieces with shapes and then introduce colors. I think the piece turned out wonderful!
