I love to think about how words relate to colors and how we experience the world around us visually and emotionally. In today's private art class, my student and I explored painting abstract shapes and textures in watercolor on yupo paper. We drew words and then thought about what those words looked like as a color, shape, and texture. Eighteen paintings down! What a fun exercise!
